Resurfacing, also referred to as refinishing or reglazing, is a detailed process whereby a finish is applied directly on the existing bathtubs, shower or tile.

What is the Bathtub & Shower Restoration Process?

Your bathtub or shower is first thoroughly cleaned using specially formulated cleaners to remove soap residue, mineral deposits, mildew and oils. All chips, scratches and cracks are then repaired. An XL Aerospace bonding agent is applied to ensure a solid bond between the old surface and the new finish. Next, Artistic Design's trained professional uses a fine-finish spray process (HVLP) to apply a hi-tech, durable, specially formulated finish. After 24 hours, you can begin using your new bathtub or shower.


Artistic Design resurfaces porcelain and fiberglass (plastic). In the case of fiberglass units, we also repair soft, cracked bathtub and shower floors to include the injection of industrial strength filler into the floor of the bathtub or shower adding strength, stability and reinforcement.
